Step 2: Consultation and Pre-Screenings

Step 3: Semen Analysis and Medical Screenings

Luxe IVF coordinates all required medical, genetic, and psychological screenings. During this stage, you will visit a partner clinic for a semen analysis, which evaluates sperm count, motility (movement), and morphology (shape). You will also complete a full medical evaluation, including genetic carrier testing and infectious disease screenings

These screenings ensure your sperm meets the highest quality standards, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in helping families build their futures. Once all criteria are met, you’ll be officially welcomed as a Luxe IVF sperm donor.

Step 4: Agreements and Onboarding

After acceptance, you’ll complete a donor agreement that outlines expectations and legal protections. At this stage, we also discuss how many families you would like to support and you compensation package.

Luxe IVF thoughtfully limits the number of families matched with each donor, but the choice to help one or multiple families rests entirely with you.

Additional onboarding steps include signing an agreement with our egg bank and completing a counseling session to discuss the emotional and ethical aspects of egg donation. Throughout each milestone, our team remains closely involved to ensure you feel informed, comfortable, and supported.

Step 5: Sperm Collection

Once enrolled, you’ll start your donation cycle with scheduled visits to one of our trusted partner clinics. Key points about the collection process include:

• The procedure is quick (10–20 minutes) and painless
• You must follow abstinence guidelines (typically 4–5 days) before each donation
• Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential: avoid alcohol and refrain from smoking, as tobacco use disqualifies donors
• Collected sperm is then cryopreserved for future use by intended parents

Step 6: Compensation

Following each donation, you will receive initial compensation. After the post-quarantine bloodwork confirms your sample meets FDA requirements, additional compensation is processed. Step 7: Post-Quarantine Bloodwork

Six months after your last donation, you’ll return for required follow-up bloodwork. This step is mandated by the FDA because certain infectious diseases, such as HIV, may not appear in initial screenings until six months later.

• Your additional compensation is processed once your sample passes this final check
• If a sample does not meet approval standards, it cannot be released to intended parents, and additional compensation will not be issued

This ensures the highest safety and quality standards for families receiving donations.

Sperm Donor Requirements

Donor programs maintain strict standards to ensure safety and quality. While specifics can vary, we require donors to:

• Be between 19-40 years old
• Have a minimum height of 5’10”
• Have a healthy BMI of 18-29
• Provide detailed medical, reproductive, genetic, and mental health histories
• Have no history of drug addiction or alcoholism
• Be tobacco, nicotine, and drug-free
• Hold or be pursuing a college degree (or equivalent)
• Donate 1–2 times per week

Sperm Donor Compensation
