EGG DONATION
Egg donation is a beautiful way to grow your family. A generous donor provides her eggs, which are fertilized through IVF and then transferred to you or your surrogate. This allows you to experience the joy of raising a child who shares your love and hopes.
For more information on the egg donation process, check out our Find an Egg Donor page!
Yes! Frozen eggs offer flexibility and convenience, allowing you to access pre-screened eggs without waiting for a donor’s cycle. Our staff can help you decide between fresh or frozen eggs.
Fresh cycles can sometimes produce more embryos and slightly higher success rates, while frozen eggs offer greater flexibility in scheduling. We’ll work with you to determine the best option for your family, and growing clinical research shows that success rates between fresh and frozen eggs are now very comparable.
Donor must be between the ages of 19-29, have a BMI of 18-29, of good health physically/mentally/psychologically, regular menstrual cycles, non-smoker (including marijuana) and non-drug user, and AMH level of at least 2.0. Other factors such as donor/family medical history, genetics, and lifestyle will be considered in the application process.
We carefully screen each donor to ensure the highest standards of health and compatibility. This includes evaluating hormone levels, genetic history, psychological wellness, and overall medical background. But we go beyond the science—considering traits, values, and personality to help you find a donor who truly aligns with your vision. Our team works closely with you throughout the process, guiding every step so you can feel confident and inspired by the choice you make for your family.
Yes! Our donors provide detailed profiles, including physical features, education, and personal interests. You can filter and find the donor who aligns with your vision for your family.
The process from selecting a donor to creating an embryo generally takes about 3–4 months, depending on cycle timing and individual medical protocols.
You can choose one of our partner clinics or you can choose your own clinic, given it is qualified. If you choose your own clinic, we coordinate closely with them and ensure your donor completes all necessary screenings. Your doctor will meet the donor on her initial one-day visit and return on day six of her medication cycle to oversee the process.
Donors undergo comprehensive evaluations, including genetic testing, psychological assessments, hormone panels, infectious disease screening, ultrasounds, and a full health review at your clinic. All donors must meet the standards and guidelines established by the ASRM to ensure safety and quality throughout the process.
If a donor becomes ineligible, we’ll help you select a new donor without you paying any additional agency fee.
Clinics perform the egg retrieval procedure under light sedation, so the donor does not feel pain. Mild cramping or bloating may be experienced afterward, but recovery is typically quick.
Once the eggs are retrieved, all of them are then fertilized with sperm in the lab to create embryos that are then transferred to the intended parent mother or a surrogate.
If just donating without an intended parent match, the eggs are frozen after retrieval as ‘frozen cohorts’ to await a match with intended parents!
The number of embryos depends on the donor’s response. Your fertility clinic will guide you on what to expect and discuss the best path forward.
Yes. Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) can help screen for chromosomal conditions, giving you reassurance as you move forward.
While IVF has made incredible progress, it doesn’t always go as planned. On rare occasions, a transfer may not result in a pregnancy. If this happens, know that you and the donor will be fully supported as you prepare for the next attempt. Most intended parents begin a new medication cycle for another transfer within about two months, moving forward with care, guidance, and confidence.
No. All parental rights belong solely to the intended parents. Legal agreements ensure an egg donor’s role is limited to donation.
Our donors get the option of staying anonymous or being open to contact. You can choose a donor who remains anonymous or one open to future contact, depending on what feels right for you.
Costs vary, covering donor compensation, medications, clinic fees, and legal support. We provide clear guidance so you can plan confidently.

SPERM DONATION
Sperm donation is a safe and effective way to help you build your family. A donor provides sperm that is carefully screened and then used in IVF, IUI or ICI, depending on your treatment plan. This gives hopeful parents the chance to experience pregnancy and the joy of raising a child.
For more information on the sperm donation process, check out our Find a Sperm Donor page!

The sperm donation process from initial screening to the sperm collection typically takes a few weeks depending on the evaluation and labs. After the sperm is collected, it is then cryopreserved. Once the sperm donor passes his 6-month quarantine bloodwork, then the vial will be released for use. So from initial screening to vial release, is about 7 months.
You can choose one of our partner clinics or you can choose your own clinic, given it is qualified. If you choose your own clinic, we will ship the frozen sperm to them for the IVF transfer.

All donors must meet the standards and guidelines established by the ASRM to ensure safety and quality throughout the process.
Sperm donors also undergo 6-month quarantine bloodwork (after collection) before their samples are released as to check for any infectious diseases, such as HIV, that do not show up positive until 6 months later.
Collecting the sperm is a simple and non-invasive procedure. Donors provide samples through a natural method of collection, meaning no surgery or anesthesia is ever required.
Once your sperm is collected, it is cryopreserved to be ready for use at a later date. The sperm donation cannot be released for use until the donor passes his 6-month quarantine bloodwork.

SURROGACY
Surrogacy is a beautiful way to grow your family with the help of a compassionate surrogate. At Luxe, we exclusively offer gestational surrogacy, meaning your surrogate has no genetic connection to the baby — the embryo is created using your own or donor eggs and sperm. This allows you to welcome a child who is biologically yours (when using your own genetics) while ensuring a safe, supported, and emotionally balanced journey for everyone involved.
For more information on the surrogacy process, check out our Find a Surrogate page!
Donor must be between the ages of 21-40, non-smoker (including marijuana) and non-drug user, no history of alcoholism or other addiction, have a BMI of 32 or below, have given birth at least once, have a history of healthy pregnancies and deliveries, have had no more than 3 C-sections, have reliable transportation, financially independent, and be a permanent resident in the US.
All of our surrogates go through our comprehensive screening process which follows ASRM guidelines. This process includes personal/lifestyle screening, medical history of pregnancies and deliveries, background checks, home assessment, and medical screening!
From the initial screening, matching, medical screening, embryo transfer, and pregnancy, the process can typically take a little over a year.
We provide egg donors, sperm donors, and surrogates. So, if you need one or all of these in your fertility treatment, we are here to discuss and build a plan for you!
No, most surrogate’s deliver at their local hospital where the intended parents travel to. However, there may be a time when the surrogate needs to travel to the intended parent’s clinic for the embryo transfer—this is something that is discussed and planned beforehand!
No, we require all of our surrogates to have given birth at least once.
Yes. We work with a diverse range of surrogates from both domestic and international backgrounds. Through our matching questionnaire, we carefully narrow down potential surrogates based on your preferences and comfort level, ensuring that you are matched with surrogates who align with your expectations and values.
Yes! Typically, a video call is set up for everyone to get to know each other. Once everyone agrees to the match, you will be able to meet in person.
After the surrogate passes the initial screening process and becomes medically cleared, they will start hormone medications (self-injections, pills, etc.) to prepare for the embryo transfer. This process is monitored routinely.
When the time is right, the surrogate will return to the clinic of your choosing for the embryo transfer. This procedure is gentle, swift, and comparable to a routine OBGYN visit. The embryo—or embryos—are carefully placed within the surrogate’s uterus with the intention of successful implantation.
Roughly a week following the embryo transfer, the surrogate will visit a clinic local to them for bloodwork to confirm pregnancy. Another week later, the pregnancy will be confirmed with an ultrasound. Medications generally continue until week 10 or 11, at which point she will transition seamlessly into the trusted care of her personal OBGYN or midwife.
Typically, 1-2 embryos.
Yes, you can pick your own OB/GYN for prenatal care and delivery if it is a qualified clinic. However, for the IVF treatment, you will need to go to the intended parent’s clinic.
While IVF has made incredible progress, it doesn’t always go as planned. On rare occasions, a transfer may not result in a pregnancy. If this happens, know that you and the surrogate will be fully supported as you prepare for the next attempt. Most surrogates begin a new medication cycle for another transfer within about two months, moving forward with care, guidance, and confidence.
Every family approaches these decisions differently, and we deeply respect those differences. Some donors may choose to continue a pregnancy even in the face of a serious medical diagnosis. If this is important to you, our team will talk through your preferences and do our best to match you with parents whose outlook aligns with your own.
No, some surrogates prefer transferring a single embryo at a time, and your choices will be fully discussed during your one-on-one consultation. You’ll record your final preferences in the Matching Questionnaire after applying, ensuring we match you with surrogates who share your perspective. For surrogates open to carrying twins, additional compensation is provided in recognition of the added commitment.
Every surrogacy journey is unique, and so is the bond between surrogates and intended parents. During the matching process, we carefully review communication preferences and relationship expectations. Many surrogates hope for a supportive, ongoing connection throughout the pregnancy with the intended parents attending key appointments when possible and being present for the birth. After delivery, it’s common for surrogates and parents to maintain a warm and meaningful relationship long into the future, at a level that feels comfortable for everyone.
No. All parental rights belong solely to the intended parents. Legal agreements ensure a surrogate’s role is limited to surrogacy.
Your surrogate will always be supported with a health insurance plan that covers her pregnancy and delivery. If her current policy doesn’t offer adequate coverage, we’ll help secure a plan that does. In addition, we arrange backup policies to give you and your surrogate extra peace of mind, ensuring every step of the journey is fully protected.
The cost of surrogacy can differ based on several factors, such as whether you’re working with a first-time or experienced surrogate, additional surrogate costs (stipends, lost wages, travel expenses, etc.), egg and/or sperm donor needed, the number of embryo transfers needed, insurance coverage, and any special medical circumstances along the way. While surrogacy is a significant financial investment, it’s also one of the most meaningful investments you’ll ever make—the chance to grow your family. At Luxe, we’re committed to transparency, which means you’ll always know what to expect. We’ll walk you through every detail of the financial process, explain where costs may vary, and offer programs designed to bring peace of mind, so you can focus on the joy of your journey to parenthood.
