BECOME A SPERM DONOR

Your Gift, Their Family.

BE THE SPARK OF A NEW BEGINNING

Choosing to become a sperm donor with Luxe IVF means taking part in something truly life-changing. For the families we serve, your gift represents hope brought to life, love made real, and the final piece of a dream they’ve carried for years. Through your generosity, intended parents can experience the moments they’ve long imagined, from a baby’s first smile to the joy of watching their family grow. Our intended parents are devoted, loving, and ready to provide their children with a life full of opportunity, security, and care. By donating, you become an essential part of their story.

At Luxe, we honor your preferences, your generosity, and your experience. From how you choose to donate to the conditions and compensation you select, every step is designed with you in mind. Ultimately, your gift leaves a lasting mark—not just on the families you help, but on a legacy of life, hope, and possibility that you help create.’

The Sperm Donation Process

At Luxe, we see sperm donors as everyday heroes. With a simple, yet powerful gift, you make it possible for hopeful parents to experience the love, joy, and milestones of raising a child—something they may have only dreamed of before. Your generosity is more than biology; it’s the beginning of a family’s story.

To ensure you feel confident and cared for, we have provided a clear, step-by-step guide to the donation process—so you’ll always know what to expect. From your first screening to the impact your donation creates, our team is here to answer questions, provide guidance, and support you every step of the way. Your decision is not only meaningful, but truly life-changing for the families whose dreams you help bring to life.

After you have assessed yourself to see if you meet our donor requirements, you will submit the online sperm donor application. We carefully consider health, family history, education, and other key factors when selecting high-quality sperm donors who align with our rigorous standards.

Application Process

After you have assessed yourself to see if you meet our donor requirements, you will submit the online sperm donor application. We carefully consider health, family history, education, and other key factors when selecting high-quality sperm donors who align with our rigorous standards.

Consultation and Pre-Screenings

After reviewing, our team will reach out within a few days to discuss your application and arrange a personal phone call to go over the donation journey—from eligibility and medical steps to the meaningful rewards of becoming a donor. It’s also your chance to ask questions, share any concerns, and truly get a feel for what the process will be like with us by your side.
If you pass the initial application, you will complete paperwork, health questionnaires, background checks, and provide photos and vides to help create a strong donor profile. Then we’ll schedule blood and urine testing to confirm a negative drug/smoking status—both required for all Luxe donors. Once results come back and meet program standards, we’ll invite you to a virtual consultation to review your medical history in detail.

Semen Analysis and Medical Screenings

Our team will handle the coordination of your medical, genetic, and psychological evaluations.
As part of the donor process, you’ll first visit one of our partner clinics for a semen analysis, where specialists will assess important factors such as count, movement, and shape. You’ll also complete a full medical evaluation, including screenings for genetics and infectious diseases. These steps confirm that your sperm meets the highest quality standards—allowing you the chance to make an extraordinary impact in creating a family.
If everything meets the required criteria, you’ll officially be welcomed as a Luxe egg donor.

Agreements and Onboarding

Once you’re officially welcomed into Luxe’s donor program, you’ll complete a donor agreement that clearly defines expectations and legal protections. At this stage, we’ll also discuss how many families you’d like to support and confirm your compensation package. Luxe places a thoughtful limit on the number of families matched with each donor—but the choice of helping just one or several rests entirely with you.
Other steps include signing an agreement with our sperm bank and completing a counseling session to discuss the emotional and ethical considerations of donation. With each milestone, our team will be by your side, making sure you feel informed, comfortable, and supported every step of the way.

Sperm Collection

After being accepted into the program, you’ll start your donation cycle with scheduled visits to one of our trusted partner clinics. The process itself is quick—usually just 10–20 minutes—and painless. To ensure the highest quality samples, you’ll need to follow abstinence guidelines—usually 4–5 days before each donation—and maintain a healthy lifestyle by avoiding alcohol and completely refraining from smoking, as tobacco use automatically disqualifies donors.
The sperm collected will then be cryopreserved.

Compensation

Following each sperm collection, you will be compensated an initial amount and then again once your sample is approved following the post-quarantine bloodwork.
Our team will be in touch with you to promptly process your compensation.

Post-Quarantine Bloodwork

Six months after your last donation, you’ll come back for required follow-up bloodwork. This final health check ensures your screenings are clear before your samples are released for hopeful families.
This is a requirement by the FDA due to some infectious diseases, such as HIV, not showing up present in bloodwork until 6 months later.
Keep in mind, the additional compensation will not be given if your sample does not get approved for release to intended parents.

Types of Sperm Donors

When you begin your journey as a sperm donor, one of the first things to consider is which type of donor arrangement feels right for you. The options—anonymous, limited, open, or known—each offer different levels of privacy, connection, and potential future contact with the family or child. Understanding these choices will help you select the path that best aligns with your comfort level and personal values.

Anonymous (Non-ID Release)

Anonymous sperm donation means your identity remains completely confidential, with no direct contact between you and the intended parents. While your personal details are private, families still receive important non-identifying information such as your medical history, physical traits, and education. This option is often handled through sperm banks and provides a private, straightforward way to help someone build their family.

Benefits:

     Your identity remains fully private
Simple, straightforward process with fewer legal steps
     No ongoing commitment after donation

Considerations:

The child will not be able to access your identity later in life
Intended parents only receive limited information about you
No possibility of building an ongoing connection with the family or child
Compensation may be less than Open-ID donors

COMPENSATION

At Luxe, we know that becoming a sperm donor is more than an act of generosity—it’s a chance to leave a lasting mark on someone’s life. That’s why we provide compensation that truly reflects the significance of your gift. Because every journey is unique, compensation may vary among donors, ensuring your contribution is recognized in a way that’s as individual as you are.
